The Queen was born in the Midwest region of Ghana to a family of Oppong and Annan. He started his primary education at Mantey Din Primary School and Oninku Secondary School in Tema. She attended a fashion school in Tema and after graduating she opened her own fashion school in Tema to teach students about fashion and lifestyle.

Empress Gifty collaborated with Opanka and Zaza Mohkheti from South Africa. His songs include Aseda, Fefeefe, Epikye, Adensiedie, Adom, Jesus Over, Jesus Too, Odiyompo, and Eye Woa.

Won Entertainer of the Year at the 2018 National Gospel Music Awards. She led the shortlist of nominees for the Maranatha World Teaching Music Awards in Kenya in 2019.

won the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards VGMA Gospel Artist of the Year and Album of the Year award in 2012 and the 4syte Gospel Music Video of the Year award in 2021.
